Teaching Assistantships
Teaching assistantships provide full- or half-tuition remission along with accompanying stipends. Assistantships include
- acting for full-tuition remission as well as a stipend for classroom, lab or studio teaching, including grading papers for literature and survey classes;
- design for full-tuition remission as well as a stipend for classroom, lab or studio teaching 20 hours per week in the shop related to the student’s chosen discipline;
- directing for full- or half-tuition remission and a stipend for up to three years, based on the number of assistantships allocated to the program; and
- playwriting for tuition remission and a stipend for exceptional candidates when assistantships are available.

Graduate Fellowships
Fellowships are available through Temple’s graduate school for students with exceptional academic records. They include
- Presidential fellowships, which are reserved for only the most outstanding candidates; and
- university fellowships, which are intended to support students who demonstrate outstanding potential for success in their chosen fields.
