Film and Media Arts

Film and media arts students shoot video in professional 1080p and 4k formats, and film in 16mm, Super-16 and 35mm. The program takes pride in supplying the tools and resources that make it possible to produce works of high professional quality that compete internationally. Temple productions have been nominated for Academy Awards, selected for Cannes and have received grand prizes at major international festivals including Sundance. Over the past 25 years Temple has received more Eastman Kodak Scholar Awards (the highest student award in cinematography) than any other school. The Eastman competition is entered by every major film school in the United States and Canada, plus 44 other countries.

Theater

Temple Theater students are active in the department and the university, participating in productions, working on class projects and studying for classes. Many are busy working part-time jobs, interning at a local theaters, and participating in extracurricular clubs or organizations. They balance these activities with academic, social and family lives. 

Career Center: Serving all Temple students and alumni, the Career Center provides a full range of services to optimize internship and employment opportunities and enhance lifelong career success. Students can attend information sessions, participate in mock interview, go to on-campus career fairs and more. University Resident Theatre Association (URTA): URTA integrates educational and professional theater, and contributes to the development and expansion of important professional theater and training laboratories, in which advanced students and professional artists work together to encourage achievement in production and performance. One of the first projects URTA implemented was the National Unified Auditions/Interviews, or NUAIs, for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in acting, directing or design.
