Amanda Hatch is co-founder and co-owner of Avista Custom Theatrical Services, llc, a company that provides prop rentals, props master services, and custom props and drapery construction for the theater and film industries. Her work with Avista has been seen at Opera Philadelphia, Temple and Drexel Universities, Azuka Theatre, InterAct Theatre, 1812 Productions, Mauckingbird Theatre, Theatre Exile, EgoPo Classic Theater, and several other local theater companies over the years. Prior to founding Avista, she worked in the props department at People’s Light and Theatre Company for six years, and before that at the Arden Theatre and Act II Playhouse. In addition to collecting and building props, she also works as a scenic painter for Drexel University’s theater program, and as an Event Supervisor for the Mandell Theater. She holds a BA in German Language and Literature from Earlham College.
