Andrea Kalas ('86) is a recent president of the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). She is currently the SVP of Asset Management at Paramount Pictures and previously led the preservation program at the British Film Institute.
At Paramount, she has been responsible for the preservation, restoration and archival protection of more than 2,000 films including movies like The Godfather, To Catch A Thief, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s among so many more. A true master in her work, Kalas is known as a technical innovator in systems for digital preservation and archive-based analytics.
