Biography
Robert Benjamin Jaffe is a professor of film, media and culture studies, and an activist filmmaker in Philadelphia. He has served on numerous award winning films, as well as being recognized for his editing on the short film, The Friend Zone. His films are embedded with a satirical bite, be they narrative or documentary, all aimed at bridging gaps in awareness of media culture and its influence on our collective cognitive dissonance. He is currently developing a series of essays on The Sopranos (1999), and working on ensuring local government is representative of working class Philadelphians. Jaffe will be found teaching Race and Ethnicity in Cinema, Film and Video Analysis, and Media and Culture.
