One former student, who later became a faculty member at Temple, mentioned Allan as being the deciding factor on their attending Temple and another co-worker and alum recalls his kindhearted, amiable and thoughtful presence. He will be dearly missed and his deep influence on the Film and Media Arts Department at Temple, and the world of cinema more broadly, is truly palpable.
