A few quick words from Journee --
What is your favorite memory at Temple?
Fostering the beautiful Theatre Underground community in 2021.
What is the best piece of advice you've received or lesson you've learned during your time at Temple?
Your art and work can and should extend far beyond what you do in these academic settings. I have learned that you have the agency to make the world you've always dreamed of!
What does it mean to be chosen as our commencement speaker?
At my time at Temple the power of community has not been lost on me. I am proud to say that despite the pandemic, despite everything we have been thrown in our lifetime, we made it through, and we did it together. I'm honored to be able to express my gratitude to my class.
What are you doing after graduation?
Sleeping! And making art in Philly with the lovely artists who have found and held me here.
Thanks for chatting with us, Journee! Again, you can hear Journee's speech and watch all of the TFMA Graduation Ceremony, May 8th at 1:30pm, live on our YouTube channel.
