Last week, news broke from The Inquirer that University of the Arts, a nearly 150 year-old arts school here in the heart of Philadelphia, is closing this Friday, June 7th. Temple University is committed to providing an accessible college education for all. As partners in higher education, Temple is ready to welcome University of the Arts students. Students chose to pursue their degrees in Philadelphia, and we want you to stay. At Temple, we provide a world-class education to our community of bold, creative and curious thinkers and doers, who are motivated to positively impact the world around them.
Temple has launched a landing page for all affected UArts students which says, "We can’t wait to help you join our community. Our intent is to make the path to enrollment at Temple seamless and transparent. We’re here to support you with making your decision to enroll here as an official Temple Owl." On it are resources for international students, as well as an interest form and how to contact Admissions.
If you or someone you know is studying film, theater, or media arts, and have questions about our programs and admission process, please reach out to Josette Todaro at [click-for-email] . Similarly, if you are an alum who was working at UArts, please let us know if there are any resources we can connect you to!
